A little bit about Catherine Goodman Farley

Catherine began her serendipitous journey writing children’s books by way of a family tradition collecting books when visiting new places. Having had the blessing of recognizing and enjoying the rich beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry, she aspires to share these wonders with children and their families. She believes in the childlike spirit of all humans and hopes her stories are a catalyst for positive reflective thinking and a renewed passion for our natural surroundings. Her Explore with Mimi children’s book series has been a vehicle for interactive speaking engagements to share her journey as an author with aspiring writers, school children, and adults as well.  Catherine resides in Charlotte with her husband and three school age children.

The Explore with Mimi books share lessons in conservation, teamwork, perseverance, and respect.  Each book has a detailed map, an adventure story, nature guide, word search and engaging discussion questions and are appropriate for children ages 3-10. The books are available at many local Charlotte retailers including Park Road Books, Swoozies, Cotswold Marketplace, Jesse Brown’s Outdoors, the Argyle Alligator, and Eliza B’s. Books are also available online at www.explorewithmimi.com.

You are also invited to Follow along with Catherine on Facebook at Explore with Mimi and IG @catherinegfarley for opportunities to enhance your child’s awareness and connection with nature.
