Christmas Tree Lightings, Parades, and Menorah Lighting

It is that time again believe it or not. Time for our annual list of Christmas tree lightings and parades, as well as details on the Menorah lighting at South Park Mall.  2017 List of Christmas Tree Lightings, Menorah Lighting and Christmas Parades in and around Charlotte

Event: Carolina Panthers Tree Lighting
Date: November 22nd
Time: 6:30 – 7:00 pm
Details: The Carolina Panthers are hosting a tree lighting at Bank of America Stadium, at the corner of Mint and Graham Street. This event will feature The Black and Blue Crew, Sir Purr, The Top Cats, Purrcusion, and Santa.

Event: Light Up Cornelius @ Cornelius Town Hall
Date: November 25th
Time: 4-6pm
Details: This  annual Christmas Tree lighting in downtown Cornelius, NC is fun for all ages. You will be able to see the tree lighting, plus dance, choral performances, children’s activities, and carriage rides

Event: Lighting of Christmas Town USA
Date: December 1st
Time: 4:30pm
Details: Come on out to Mc Adenville, AKA, Christmas Town USA to watch all 500,000 lights light up the night. This is the annual start to the lights of Christmas Town USA. This is an event that is breath-taking. It truly is beautiful to see all the lights twinkling in the night

Event: Mint Hill Tree Lighting
Date: November 30th
Time: 7pm
Details: At Town Hall the city of Mint Hill will gather for their annual tree lighting. This event will feature hot chocolate and holiday treats, as well as visits with Santa. Followed by a tree light of the Mint Hill Chirstmas Tree.

Event: Lights on the Square: Uptown Christmas Tree Lighting in Charlotte NC
Date: November 30th
Time: 5:30pm
Details: Uptown Charlotte will light up on Thursday, December 1st, 2016. Lights on the Square, at Trade and Tryon Streets, will start at 5:30 p.m. This event features JBP Entertainment dancers, Hawthorne UMC Bell Choir and Hough High School chorus will provide entertainment. Local mascots will be on hand as well. At 6:30pm Santa will light the tree.

Event: Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Harrisburg NC
Date: December 1st
Time: 6pm
Details: This event will be held in downtown Harrisburg NC. It will feature carriage rides, a live nativity, musical and dance performance, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Clause

Event:  Matthews Hometown Holiday Festival and Tree lighting
Date: December 2nd
Time: 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Details: Come see the Christmas Tree Lighting in downtown Matthews, NC. Featuring Carriage rides, crafts, holiday activities, a special fireworks show, and Santa.

Event: Gastonia Christmas in the City Village Parade
Date: December 3rd
Time: 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Details: Come out to the Christmas Village, starting at 2:00 pm and then stay for the Gastonia Christmas Parade at 4:00 pm. Get a free picture with Santa and other favorite characters. There will also be ornament decorating, playing games, food, and crafts as part of the Christmas in the City Village. Christmas tree lighting at 6:00 pm.

Event: It’s a Wonderful Life Parade and Tree Lighting
Date: December 3rd
Time: 3pm
Details: Come out to Indian Trail, NC for a Christmas themed festival and parade. Watch the parade, and make a Christmas craft. This is a event that is fun for the whole family and community of Indian Trail

Event: Menorah Lighting at South Park Mall
Date: December 12th
Time: 5:00 PM
Details: Come out and enjoy a Chanukkah celebration to SouthPark Mall. There will be entertainment and children’s activities at Center Court, between Nordstrom and Nieman Marcus. Also, get to the mall early to get a look at the Menorah Parade as it approaches the mall. Please bring a new book for a child in need
