National Nanny Recognition Week 2025

At Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency, we are passionate about celebrating nannies who make a difference in families’ lives across the Charlotte metro area, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Each year, during National Nanny Recognition Week (NNRW), we take time to honor nannies who dedicate their careers to the nanny industry.

This year, we are excited to announce a week full of daily giveaways coming up during NNRW and, of course, the highlight of the week, awarding the Carolina Super Nanny Award for 2025.

What Is National Nanny Recognition Week?

National Nanny Recognition Week (NNRW) was established in 1998 to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of nannies across the United States. This celebration has now expanded internationally, and each September, families, agencies, and communities from around the world come together to honor the dedication, professionalism, and expertise that nannies provide every day.

For Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency, families and agencies in the Carolinas and throughout the world, this week is a special opportunity to say “thank you” to the nannies who work tirelessly to nurture, teach, and care for children. From creating fun learning activities to providing emotional support, nannies truly make our world go round, and they deserve recognition for the difference they make every day.

For the past 14 years, during National Nanny Recognition Week, we have taken time to celebrate and express our gratitude to all the wonderful nannies in the industry by hosting giveaways and awarding the Carolina Super Nanny.

Daily Giveaways During NNRW

Every day of National Nanny Recognition Week, we’re saying thank you to nannies by hosting daily giveaways and awarding the Carolina Super Nanny Award. Mark your Calendars for September 21^st – 27^th to stay tuned to our social media channels for more details on how to win.

Here are the giveaways we are hosting each day:

Sunday – Dinner is on us: A gift card to DoorDash for a delicious meal delivered right to their door.
Monday – Nanny Fuel Day: As a special thank you to nannies, we will be sending Starbucks gift cards to all nannies placed through Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency from April 2025 to September 2025.
Tuesday – Taco Tuesday: Enter to win a Chipotle gift card.
Wednesday – Retail Therapy: We will be giving away a shopping gift card to enjoy a little retail therapy.
Thursday – Dinner & A Movie: Enter to win a Darden + Fandango Dinner and a Movie Multipack for 2 for the perfect night out.
Friday – Carolina Super Nanny Award: The winner of the Carolina Super Nanny 2025 award will be announced. The highlight of the week, we will be celebrating an extraordinary nanny in the Carolinas today.
Saturday – Self-Care Saturday: Multi-Brand Choice Self-Care Gift Card to relax and recharge.

Carolina Super Nanny Award

This year, we are excited to present the 9th Annual Carolina Super Nanny Award. We will be honoring one exceptional nanny by presenting this Award on Friday, the 26th of September. The agency will present the Carolina Super Nanny Award to one outstanding nanny in the Carolinas. This nanny will be someone nominated by their current family, past families, or members of the nanny community. The Carolina Super Nanny Award is presented to a nanny who has gone above and beyond for the families they have worked with, exhibits dedication and passion for the industry, and has been an instrumental part of both the nanny and local communities.
We look forward to considering all nannies nominated, and look forward to celebrating one special nanny this year.

Nominate Your Nanny Today

Nominations are open from now until September 16th, 2025.

The winner will be announced at the end of NNRW, on Friday, September 26th, 2025.

Please note: Nannies who have previously received the Carolina Super Nanny Award are not eligible to win again. Our goal is to recognize and celebrate as many outstanding nannies as possible over the years.

How Families Can Celebrate Their Nanny

In addition to our giveaways and the Carolina Super Nanny Award, families can make National Nanny Recognition Week even more special by celebrating their nanny in one of these ways.

Here are a few simple but meaningful ways:

Purchase a gift card to a Spa or Nail Salon and give them an afternoon off for some self-care.
Put together a gift basket with all their favorite things and write a note about how much you appreciate them.
Offer your nanny a day off as a thank you for his/her hard work.
Buy a personal Charcuterie box from Babe and Butcher as a token of appreciation.
This week is a great time to consider giving a small bonus.
Get a gift card to Amazon, DoorDash, Grubhub, or any other delivery service.
Put together a self-care basket for your Manny/Nanny with spa items.
Gift your Nanny/Manny a Starbucks gift card (Nanny Fuel) and write a thank you note for all their help throughout the year
Buy a potted plant for your nanny and attach a note that says thank you for helping our children learn and grow.
Purchase a gift card from your Nanny/Manny’s favorite store and write a Thank You note and tell your Nanny/Manny to use the gift card to buy one of their favorite things.
