Dun Dun Dun ………Remember it’s Shark Week!!!! This is a great week to educate children on Ocean Animals, and Ocean Safety. Throughout my career I have always celebrated this week, with the kids, with different projects. My favorite Shark Week project was, Baby Food Jar Shark Aquariums. Here is a pic of our creation last year. Instructions below picture.

Shark Aquarium
Supplies
Plastic Sharks (Dollar Store)
Glycerin (Amazon, or Pharmacy)
Water
Blue Food Coloring
Hot Glue Gun (Only used by an adult)
Glitter (Optional)
Ribbon
Directions
Clean out a baby food jar, and remove label. Mix some water with a few drops of blue food coloring. Fill Jar up with the blue water, most of the way, leaving a little room at the top. Add a few drops of Glycerin, being careful not to over do it. Drop in Shark. Drop in some glitter (Optional). Take lid and apply hot glue(by an adult) to the inside edge of the lid. Put lid on Jar. Let dry. If you want to, you can also hot glue a ribbon around the outside of the lid. This is a very easy Shark Week Project the kids will love.
