Part-time After School Nanny VS Occasional Babysitting or Backup Care
Most families wonder whether a part-time after-school nanny would work for their family, or if signing up for the occasional babysitting and backup care service would make more sense. Both part-time nannies and babysitters are fully pre-screened and undergo our 10-step process.
For permanent or temporary after-school nannies working 20 hours a week or more, one nanny would be hired to fill your childcare need.
If a family needs babysitting or backup care, then one of our pre-screened babysitters will provide care as they are available, and there is no guarantee it will be the same babysitter each time. However, families can mark previous providers as a favorite, and our system will ask them first when a booking request comes in.
For part-time after-school nannies, the fees the agency charges are:
$350 Registration Fee
12% Placement Fee (The 12% is charged on the compensation during the duration of the placement for temporary placements, or 12% is factored on the first year’s annual compensation of the nanny.)
In addition to the agency’s fee, each family employs and pays their nanny directly at the negotiated hourly rate. Nannies are required to be paid legally via a W-2 payment.
For the occasional babysitting and backup care service, the fees the agency charges are:
$200 Annual Registration Fee
$35.00 Single Bookings
$49.95 Monthly Subscription (Includes 3 bookings a month, additional bookings charged at $25.00 a booking.)
Each family pays the babysitter or backup care provider directly at the negotiated hourly rate at the end of each shift.
