Registration Fee
An annual registration fee of $200 is required when clients sign up for the backup care, babysitting, and Family Assistant placement service. This fee is due at the time of registration and renews each year. Clients who have previously placed a nanny or domestic professional through Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency will have the registration fee waived for their first year of utilizing this service.
Monthly Subscription Service
We’re excited to introduce our new Backup Care, Babysitting, and on-call Family Assistant monthly subscription service, designed for families who need reliable occasional care for their children and home.
- $49.95 a month: Includes up to 3 sitter bookings each month.
- Additional bookings after the first 3 placements in a month: $25.00 per placement.
- Holiday surcharge: +$10.00 per booking (applies to major holidays).
- Book a Backup Care provider, Babysitter, or on-call Family Assistant on demand through our online platform or by text.
- Manage everything through our online platform.
- Clients are always responsible for employing and paying their Back Up Care provider, Babysitter, or On-Call Family Assistant directly at their pre-negotiated hourly rate at the end of each shift.
*Bookings do not roll over month to month.*
One-Time Bookings
Prefer to Book as You Go? No problem. You can request a one-time booking at any time without a subscription.
- $35.00 per booking (Each day booked is considered a booking)
- Holiday surcharge: +$10.00 per booking (applies to major holidays).
- Book a Backup Care provider, Babysitter, or on-call Family Assistant on demand through our online platform or by text.
- Manage everything through our online platform.
- Clients are always responsible for employing and paying their Back Up Care provider, Babysitter, or On-Call Family Assistant directly at their pre-negotiated hourly rate at the end of each shift.
Current Clients Who Hired a Permanent Nanny or Family Assistant
Are you thinking of hiring a permanent nanny through Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency and want to ensure you have access to our Backup Care, Babysitting, and on-call Family Assistant service? As an agency, our top priority is to provide consistent, reliable, and trustworthy care that meets our clients’ needs for their family and home. Therefore, we are offering the following pricing for clients who hire a Nanny or Family Assistant permanently through Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency.
- Clients who hire full-time, permanent Nannies or Family Assistants through Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency (starting September 2025 or later) will have an option to sign up for our subscription service at $30.00 per month (up to three bookings per month, a $19.95 savings per month) for the first six months after placement. Single bookings outside of the subscription service are $35.00 per booking.
- Clients who hire part-time, permanent Nannies or Family Assistants through Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency (starting September 2025 or later) will have an option to sign up for our subscription service at $30.00 per month (up to three bookings per month, a $19.95 savings per month) for the first three months after placement. Single bookings outside of the subscription service are $35.00 per booking.
*Clients are always directly responsible for employing and paying the providers’ wages directly to them for each booking.*
*Bookings do not roll over month to month.*
After the first 3-6 months (depending on whether the permanent placement is Full-Time or Part-Time), families have the option to sign up for the Backup Care, Babysitting, and on-call Family Assistant placement monthly subscription service at the full cost of $49.95 per month, or they are welcome to book single bookings at the rate of $35.00 per booking.

All backup care providers and babysitters go through a 10-step pre-screening process.
1. Application & Resumé Submission
Every candidate begins by submitting an application and an updated resumé.
2. Submit Relevant Documents
Candidates provide all required documentation to move forward in the process.
3. Initial Pre-Screening Call
We conduct a brief phone interview to ensure the candidate meets our agency’s standards and the unique needs of our clients.
4. In-Depth Interview
Qualified candidates are invited to a comprehensive one-on-one interview with a placement specialist. This helps us get to know each candidate’s personality, background, and skill set. (We look for a minimum of 3 years of experience in the industry.)
5. Custom Candidate Profile
We create a personalized profile for each candidate to highlight their qualifications and strengths.
6. Professional Reference Checks
Our in-house team conducts thorough reference checks and compiles a comprehensive reference report.
7. Certification Requirements
All candidates must be certified in CPR and First Aid before beginning a position. Many have advanced medical training, such as CNA, RN, EMT, or even retired MD credentials. We provide the candidate’s info on recertification if needed.
8. Transportation & Driving Verification
Reliable, safe transportation is required. We verify each candidate’s driver’s license and driving record during the background check process.
9. Comprehensive Background Check
We conduct a national background check annually to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information. This background check includes: County-by-county criminal and civil record checks, Social Security verification, National & state motor vehicle record checks, Sex offender registry search, and Security watchlist search.
10. Approval and onboarding onto our Backup Care, Babysitting, and on-call Family Assistant platform.
Once all pre-screening steps and requirements above are met, the candidate will be onboarded to our Backup Care, Babysitting, and on-call Family Assistant platform.
