Summer is all about vacations, adventurous trips and fun in the sun. But sometimes staying in town can be just as fun! Below are a few events going on in town the last few days in July!
Hurry…you have one more day to catch the Cirque du Soleil “Crystal”! There are two showtimes on Sunday the 21st, catch the matinee at 1:30 PM or go a little later at 5 PM. Crystal is the first acrobatic performance on ice! It is a show that will not disappoint. Check out Spectrum Center for tickets!
Get the whole family in their P.J.’s and head over to Family Pajama Storytime at Hickory Grove Library! This event is for children 5 and younger and starts at 6:30 PM on July 22nd. Get ready to listen to stories, sing some songs, and get movin’ in your p.j’s!
Wanna keep cool and still have a ton of fun? Visit the Gastonia Grizzlies ballpark on July 23rd at 10 AM. The ballpark will be turned into a water park featuring a water slide, water balloons, and fun inflatable toys, and stick around for the baseball game at noon! Do you love cookies? Who doesn’t? If you are a cookie lover like us take the kids to the Lake Wylie Public Library for Family Cookie Decorating. This event is on July 24th and starts at 12:30 PM. Fast Frog Bakery will demonstrate cookie decorating and you will get to decorate too!
Why not watch a movie outside?! On the fourth Thursday of July and August catch a flick at Veterans Park. The next showing will be July 25th and the film is “Ralph Breaks the Internet” The movies will start about 5-15 minutes after sunset, so go grab your blankets and lawn chairs. Popcorn and other snacks are available for purchase. What better way to spend the Summer than enjoying a movie in one of Charlotte’s beautiful parks?
