Mother’s Day is two days away! Are you prepared to spoil mom on her special day? If you are still trying to figure out the perfect way to show the Mom in your life just how much you appreciate her, here are a few ways…
Breakfast in Bed! It’s the perfect way to start Mom’s day. Unless you made a reservation for brunch last week it might be hard to get a table at Moms favorite brunch spot.So let Mom sleep in, grab the kids and whip up some pancakes, bacon, and eggs.
Take Mom on a trip! There are several Mother’s Day Events going on in town both Saturday and Sunday, here are a few:
Mom’s get in to Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden free this Mother’s Day (Saturday and Sunday), and the first 250 Mothers get a free potted plant.
Mother’s Day at the McGill Rose Garden, roses, live music and vendors (Sunday)
Mom’s get in free to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art (Saturday and Sunday)
Homemade cards from the kids! Nothing says “I love you, Mom” like a homemade card from her kids. Grab the craft paper, glitter, glue sticks, and finger paint and let the kids get creative!
Flowers! It’s not too late to order Mom a bouquet of her favorite flowers. Online flower delivery sites like 1-800 Flowers or ProFlowers are still offering Mother’s Day delivery. The local Midwood Flower Shop is also doing Saturday May 11th deliveries (in available zip codes) or pick-ups in the shop.
Time! Sometimes all Mom wants is a little time to do the things she most enjoys. Make a bath using her favorite bubble bath or salts, set out the book she is reading with a blanket and a cup of tea, turn on her favorite movie or TV show and make some popcorn.
Whatever you do this Mother’s Day just make sure that Mom feels loved and appreciated. We think Moms are pretty important people! Happy Mother’s Day to all Moms!
