Lazy 5 Ranch

Lazy 5 Ranch

This weekend we had a blast visiting the Lazy 5 Ranch, which is a must see if you live near Mooresville. Lazy 5 Ranch is a privately owned and operated ranch, operated by Henry Hampton. Lazy 5 Ranch is home to 750 animals from 6 different continents. The Lazy 5 Ranch is a Zoological Park, where you can ride through and feed pellet food to all the animals (Except the Zebras, they will bite). You can travel the 3 and 1/2 mile safari drive in your own car, or in a guided wagon. We opted for the wagon, and would highly recommend going through the Lazy 5 on the wagon instead of your car. Be aware if you go through in your car you enter at your own risk, and Lazy 5 will not be responsible for any damage to your vehicle. The wagon ride was great, because you get to hear more info on the animals from the driver, and get a more in depth, unique experience. They also have a petting zoo and many exotic animals to visit in smaller habitats, such as Turkeys, Kangaroos, and other smaller animals. This is a great day trip and kids of all ages will enjoy it, even Teens!

Lazy 5 Ranch is located at: 15100 Mooresvile Road, Mooresville, NC, 28115.
