Can you believe that the July 4th holiday weekend is here? We hope you all are going to have a fun long weekend spent with family either here in town or on vacation. Here at Charlotte’s Best Nanny, we wanted to give you some ideas of how you can spend your holiday weekend attending some fun family events, and fun ideas on ways to celebrate Independence Day. There is pretty much a fun event every day.

Charlotte Symphony Summer Pops Concert: Celebrate America

Come out to Symphony Park, Saturday, July 1st, and pack a picnic and sit back and relax as Charlotte Symphony presents their Independence Day, Celebrate America concert. Fireworks show will follow the concert. Admission is $5:00 – $12:00, and children 12 and under free. You can start setting up your picnic at 5:00 pm.

Red, White and Blue Lawn Party

Ballantyne will host their Fourth of July celebration Saturday, July 1st from 5:30-9:

. The event will feature live music, food trucks, craft beer from N.C. brewers, games and a fireworks show. Please bring your picnic blankets or patio folding chairs. Also wear your best red, white and blue outfit. No coolers or pets allowed at this event. Parking available at 13024 and 13034 Ballantyne Corporate Place parking decks. Admission is FREE.

White Water Center 

The US National White Water Center will be hosting their annual Fourth of July celebration on July 3rd and 4th from 3:30 pm-10:00 pm. This event will feature live music and watch the fireworks show by the whitewater. Please bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Admission is $5.00 parking fee per car. Charlotte Knights Baseball 

The Charlotte Knights will play several games this holiday weekend. Including a game on July 4th between USA and Cuba. The game starts at

6:05pm

and is followed by WBTV’s Sky Show, the largest firework show of the Charlotte Knight’s season.Baseball tickets start at $10.00

WBTV Sky Show 2017

Charlotte City Partners will host WBTV’s Sky Show 2017 on July 4th, 2017 in Uptown Charlotte. This event features a street festival that includes a Ferris wheel, interactive kids activities, and live entertainment. After you enjoy the festival, you will get a chance to watch the largest firework show in the southeast, after the game versus Cuba.

Friday (Today), June 30th, Belmont NC celebrates Independence day. Belmont’s celebration is from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and will feature Carnival rides, games, a corn hole tournament, live music, and fireworks. Admission is FREE

Come out to Stump Town Park in Matthews NC,

Saturday

July 1st for an Independence Day parade. You are invited to decorate your bikes, wagons, scooters and then stay for live music and family-friendly activities at the park. Bike decorating begins at 5:00 pm at Town Hall green, with the parade beginning at 5:30 pm. Admission is FREE

Queens Landing 

Saturday, July 1st, visit Lake Norman for putt-putt, kids’ activities, lake cruises, and a fireworks show in the cove at 9:00 pm. Festivities start at 10:00 am and go to 9:00 pm. Admission is FREE,

Carowinds

Help Carowinds celebrate the 4th of July as we illuminate the skies above the Carolina state line during our annual fireworks celebration show! The show is set to start at 9:30 p.m.

July 3rd-5th Carowinds is also offering FREE park admission to any active, inactive or retired United States Service men and women with a valid military I.D.

Tega Cay celebrates the Fourth of July with a fun filled family day of activities including a parade, water show, fish fry, and fireworks. Activities start at 11:00 am, fireworks at 9:30 pm. Admission is Free.
