Children’s Nutrition and Darkness to Light Training
For this years International Nanny Training Day we are lucky enough to have several amazing speakers! In the next few weeks we wanted to highlight the speakers who will be joining us to help everyone get to know them a little more and find out just what we will all be learning!
Joining us from Healthy Eaton is owner and operator Samantha Eaton! Samantha is a Nutrition and Eating Psychology Coach. Helping women who are FED UP with diets learn how to feel happy and confident with their body, eating habits, and health is her absolute passion. She’s also a mom to 2 adorable French Bulldogs (Maddie & Brady), considers herself a certified chocoholic and a mega introvert who strives to spend at least 90% of her life in leggings 🙂
Her unique approach is the antidote to traditional restriction-based programs that never seem to be enjoyable, work, or stick in a sustainable way. As a result of her Mind-Body-Food Method, she coaches clients to reprogram their mind, reset their body, and revamp their eating habits to look and feel their personal best deprivation or food rules. It’s a sustainable transformation in a holistic way that is flexible, fun, and empowering.
Meeting people where they are and creating 100% custom programs are the foundation of her work. She’s here to help make looking and feeling your best easier and attainable and is offering a free 5-day challenge to take initial steps see results beyond the scale: www.healthyeaton.com/5daychallenge
Samantha will be joining us for International Nanny Training Day to discuss children’s nutrition. She will discuss topics like label reading, healthy swaps, and plate makeovers.
Shawna Pagano from Pat’s Place will also be joining us for International Nanny Training Day to present Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children, a child sexual abuse prevention training. This is the only evidence-informed child sexual abuse prevention, recognition and intervention training available nationally. It has been shown to change child protective behaviors and research suggests that child sexual abuse reports, substantiations, or interventions in cases of abuse increase as a result of training.
Shawna Pagano is the Human Trafficking Outreach Coordinator for Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center. In this role, Shawna is responsible for coordinating the anti-trafficking response for youth in Mecklenburg County. Prior to her current role, Shawna worked as a victim advocate serving survivors of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and childhood sexual abuse. Shawna has volunteered with anti-trafficking organizations in Thailand and Bulgaria. Shawna received her Master of Social Work from UNC Charlotte. She also serves as the co-chair of the Charlotte Metropolitan Human Trafficking Task Force.
We can’t wait to hear from both of these women at our International Nanny Training Day on April 13th!
