2019 Fall Festivals

The first day of Fall is right around the corner! And what better way to celebrate the start of some of the most beautiful weather in the Carolinas than with a wonderful Fall Festival?! Here are a few of our favorite events going on to kick of this season! 

The Yiasou Greek Festival

Food, Entertainment & Fun For The Whole Family. The Yiasou Greek Festival began in 1978 and since then has become one of Charlotte’s largest cultural events. It is eagerly anticipated by the Charlotte community each year. The Yiasou (the Greek word for Hello, Goodbye and Cheers) Greek Festival features Hellenic cultural exhibits, authentic Greek cuisine and homemade pastries, entertainment, live music and dancing, wine tastings, art, shopping and more. Experience the sights and sounds of Greece when you visit the Annual Yiasou Greek Festival. It’s a time of the year when everyone can be Greek!

Festival in the Park

White Water Center Fall Festival

The Autumn season during Whitewater’s Fall Festival is a full day of races, fall-themed yoga sessions, seasonal cider sampling, and the spectator-friendly carnage of Fall Festival’s signature Build Your Own Boat (BYOB) Competition. Visit The WWC website for more info. 

UNC Charlotte’s International Festival

This will mark the 44th anniversary of this annual campus tradition. Please save the date and check back later for updates about the 2019 International Festival! The International Festival is centered around booths arranged in colorful marketplace style representing the cultures of over 50 nations! 

Charlotte’s Kids Fest

October 5th, 11AM-4PM

University City comes alive for kids and kids-at-heart every fall for this annual event. The Great Pumpkin Fest at Carowinds

Filled with everything that makes fall a cheerful time of year and just enough spooky fun for little ghosts and goblins, Carowinds puts the “WEE!” in kids’ Halloween events with our Great Pumpkin Fest. Now bigger and better than ever – and always free with admission! In addition to fall-tastic activities galore in Camp Snoopy, Great Pumpkin Fest is expanding to two additional areas in the park, providing even more Halloween activities for kids and families than ever before. Get an extra helping of Snoopy and the whole PEANUTS™ gang as they host the all-new Great Pumpkin Fest Activity Trail with a challenge course, corn maze, hay bale maze, games, crafts and much more. Plus, head on over to Halloween Hootenanny in our all-new Blue Ridge Junction area where everyone will enjoy family games, fun activities and DJ Hoot ‘N’ Holler playing tunes for dancing on the midway. 7th Annual Huntersville Fall Festival

October 12, 10AM-4PM

The 7th annual Huntersville Fall Festival is free to attend but there is a charge for some activities.

The festival features:

Children’s games

Children’s crafts


Scarecrow making

Food trucks

Pumpkin patch

All-Day live entertainment
